Description

The recent rise of the "professional" youth worker has discouraged many from becoming involved. But professionals can't do it alone; we need an army of enthusiastic adults to meet the critical needs of today's pressurized youth. This book encourages ordinary people to consider youth work, and outlines what qualities, skills and knowledge are required. It can also be used as a complete basic training course for new youth workers. This book helps people to explore their motivation, develop their abilities, and understand their potential to impact teenage lives.
