"Good for mixtape, but will kill your love of 'Friday Jams'"
3 stars"

As someone who is forced to listen to ZM day in, day out for 5 days a week at my workplace, listening to the same abysmal dribble that passes as music makes us want to blow our brains out. So when Friday finally comes around and they stop playing the same Ed Sheeran song twice every hour and start playing some half decent throw-backs, it is a small but appreciated comfort and one that does not go unnoticed. However the novelty is completely thrown out the window when it is made readily available on disc form. I completely understand why this was made; so fans of the ZM Radio Station's ‘Friday Jams’ could get a selection of those jams on CD. But, the problem then arises that owning it on disc lessens the impact of hearing on the radio. It's clear why this was made, but in doing so defeats the purpose of listening to Friday Jams voluntarily on the radio (or being forced to endure it daily like me) and it essentially becomes just another mixtape, just with the novelty of having ZM's name on it. A collection of songs thrown together basically being another “Now” CD. (Remember Now 20, Now 21 etc-)

SO how about the quality of the songs- Well it's a matter of preference really, though they range from “Hey this was my jam a decade ago” to “sucked then, sucks now”. Also the fact that they left out any ‘Fall Out Boy’ should be an instant disclaimer.
