"Cool posable mech model that's fun to build"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Now, I'm biased as I always loved the original Zoids toy-line back in the 80's and 90's and as a result there is a big soft spot for anything related to them but the Kotobukiya HMM series are great kits that are both fun to build and look cool when completed and displayed even for those unfamiliar with the original anime or toys. The instructions are no real problem to follow despite being largely written in Japanese but the clear descriptions are on the whole fine with just a little problem solving required on the one or two, slightly more complicated sections. The various pieces look spiffing when the effort is made to paint and weather them for the model but for anyone who wants a simpler build, the model still looks very cool left unpainted and all the plastics parts are base coloured so it doesn't take much away from the finished beast. Completed, it is quite posable and can be adjusted in various ways for display. There is enough about these kits to keep experienced Gundam/Mech/Model fans busy for a few days but its easy enough to get on with to be a moderate but enjoyable challenge to anyone who wants a go at a mid-range model.

Description

Another quality Zoids model from Kotobukiya. The Liger Zero Jager consists of an enormous amount of detailed parts all molded in plastic. Once completed the Liger Jager will have quite a bit of articulation even with all that armor on.

This item is an injection-plastic kit of a science-fiction/anime item.
