I guess it isn't exactly fair to call the game complete rubbish… Unfortunately thats what Aliens Colonial Marines is. Given Gearbox Studio's other titles of late (notably Borderlands 2), AMC represents a considerable failing, where Borderlands 2 has its art style for character, AMC suffers from being ugly (poorly animated characters (clipping during cutscenes for example), a bad case of one color palette reigns supreme), boring (Tends to require more extreme difficulty to make the enemies a threat), and cringe worthy dialogue combine to make this an imminently forgettable game. That being said, where a vaguely redeeming feature exists is the games Multiplayer, allowing players to be marines or the Xenomorphs (sadly however the Xeno's only have three “classes” in multi), the game features a vaguely RPG like equipment/skill progression tree allowing for customizable loadouts for both factions, unfortunately it still feels like its trying to be Call of Duty.
I'd give it a one star, but multiplayer and upcoming DLC/patches MAY redeem the game (unlikely but stranger things have happened), though the $39.99US pricetag for the season pass might be a bit too much to swallow after forking out for this.
