On this new recording the virtuosity of Dan’s playing encompasses a wide variety of styles from early music though to contemporary folk songs. Also featured are a number of new and original minimalist compositions, composed for and performed on the dulcimer by Dan. On Au Vieux Moulin Dan is accompanied by international jazz bass player Andy Crowdy and Shakespearean actor Rebecca Hallworth on vocals.
