Author Biography:

Glen MacDonald is a Distinguished Professor and the Endowed Chair of California and the American West in Geography at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he is also Director of the UC White Mountain Research Center and Chair of UCLA Canadian Studies. He has published more than 180 peer-reviewed articles and Op-Ed pieces in the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Sacramento Bee.
