Description

Welcome to the Great White North as the King of Obsolete calls it. The King of Obsolete is known in Computer Land for his stories on his website and making a living with old style equipment. So he decided to put his stories into a book for everyone to laugh at and enjoy. Cat Train Newsletters is about the King of Obsolete reading a book on cat trains and deciding to become a Cat Skinner in the Great White North (Northern Manitoba). It is a humorous account of trails and errors of living in the Great White North as well as telling how much he had to learn about winter freighting. He had to learn how to "make do" with whatever was available. He modifies, creates and recycles metals to make a living and with old style equipment.Living in the North means everything is South of here. Supplies and almost everything you use daily has to be shipped in and so this means you will get your supplies anytime past tomorrow. But as he always says, he chose to live here. The King of Obsolete continues on even when the going gets tough but he always says his cup is half full and manages to make the best out of the situation.
