APO Live is a new label that showcases some of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra’s concert highlights & performances. This first CD for the new label features a concert presented live as ‘The Organ Symphony’ in the APO’s APN News & Media Premier Series 2010.
Celebrating The Organ features the APO with Thomas Trotter on organ & Arvo Volmer conducting, performing Poulenc’s Concerto in G Minor; & Saint-Saens’ Symphony No. 3 (the “Organ Symphony”). In 2010 the APO celebrated 30yrs. Celebrate The Organ marks this anniversary as well as the inauguration of the Auckland Town Hall organ & the first chance to hear this grand instrument in its refurbished configuration.
