While this nutcracker is well made its size is quite limiting. I tried to crack some of my large walnuts and they wouldn't even fit inside. It will crack small to medium walnuts well. I also tried to crack macadamias but it didn't crack them at all.

First time using and the black covering has chipped off inside very dissapointing
I find this nut cracker very easy to use. I have yet to test how sturdy it is as I have only used it occasionally and still have may walnuts to open, however I feel that it will be more than satisfactory.
