If you've listened to any older songs of Fergie, and enjoyed them – you'll definitely enjoy this album – there is a mix of all genres.
Eight-time GRAMMY Award-winner and pop goddess Fergie will release her mega-anticipated second full-length opus, first visual album, and the “pop event of the year,” Double Dutchess, on September 22.
Wetting the appetites of rabid fans worldwide, she has unveiled not one, but two songs and music videos from the album to hint at what’s in-store. Opener “Hungry” [feat. Rick Ross] sees Fergie ravenously devour a beat before a sexy, show-stopping chorus accompanied by a classic Ricky Rozay cameo. Meanwhile, “You Already Know” [feat. Nicki Minaj] bobs and weaves through the explosive interplay between two of music’s hottest leading ladies and a stadium-size chant.
You might know she’s an eight-time GRAMMY Award-winner. You might know her iconic 2006 solo debut, The Dutchess, moved 7.2 million albums and 29 million tracks around the globe. You might know all of the words to Billboard Hot 100 #1 hits like “London Bridge,” “Glamorous,” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry” or Top 5 smashes “Fergalicious” and “Clumsy.” You might know she led The Black Eyed Peas to the pop pantheon with sales of 35 million records and 60 million tracks over the course of four multi-platinum offerings. For all you might know (or might think you know) about Fergie, you’re going to learn a whole hell of a lot more on her second full-length and first visual album for her own label Dutchess Music—Double Dutchess.
She began teasing the forthcoming record with the platinum-certified West Coast anthem “L.A. Love” [feat. YG] and the 2016 gold-selling banger “M.I.L.F. $”, which racked up 1 billion cumulative impressions in the aftermath of its blockbuster video’s premiere. Lauded by Entertainment Weekly and Noisey, “Life Goes On” amplified excitement, but in true Fergie fashion, no one knew what was really coming. These 14 tracks tell a story of transformation. It’s not so much caterpillar into butterfly as it is Diana Prince into Wonder Woman, and it starts with the one-two punch of “Hungry” [feat. Rick Ross] and “You Already Know” [feat. Nicki Minaj] followed by a one-night only premiere of the visual album in movies theaters everywhere September 20.
