Author Biography:

Katy Sloop Roberts grew up in Virginia. She has a degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Katy has enjoyed writing since her grandparents gave her a lined journal for Christmas at age seven. Fortuna Finds a Family is her second book. As an Air Force spouse, she has lived in many U.S. states, Germany, and Italy. Currently, she lives in Yorktown, Virginia with her husband, two sons, and Lucky, the Italian black cat who inspired this book.www.lunaandfortuna.com Dan Dye is the author's uncle and he is honored to illustrate her books. Dan grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and has a degree in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dan has enjoyed art since early childhood. In high school, he nurtured his talents for painting and silversmithing. After retiring from a long career in sales, Dan has made silversmithing his second career.
