Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley was an English novelist, short story writer, dramatist, essayist, biographer, and travel writer, of the early 19th century. She is best known for her Gothic novel "Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus". She also published the works of her husband, the Romantic poet and philosopher Percy Bysshe Shelley. Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley war eine englische Schriftstellerin, Kurzgeschichtenautorin, Dramatikerin, Essayistin, Biografin und Reiseschriftstellerin aus dem frühen 19. Jahrhundert. Sie ist am besten bekannt für ihren fantastischen und romantischen Roman Frankenstein; or The Modern Prometheus. Sie veröffentlichte auch die Werke ihres Mannes, des romantischen Dichters und Philosophen Percy Bysshe Shelley.
