Description

The fury of war rages on. So does her heart ... Amidst the darkest days of war. A driven, determined young nurse risks it all. Can she save them without losing her soul? Somewhere near Passchendaele, 1917. Sophie Romano is ecstatic, her life's dream flicking at her finger tips. A war nurse at the Casualty Clearing Station, she prepares to heal and comfort injured and dying soldiers. The crude conditions under cold, leaky canvas, surrounded by thick sticky mud and screaming shell-shocked soldiers are no deterrent. Even a cruel and vengeful superior from her past and a love triangle that rips at her heart, cannot dissuade the strong-willed Sophie's devotion to her calling. Until ... The night sky bursts into orange-crimson fire and the thunderous quaking of the earth fills her with dread. The nightmares return and she must hide her secret terror or risk being sent home. Surrounded by the chaos of war, she fights for her patients and battles her divided heart. Can she rise above the fury and quell her tormented spirit?
