Description

Hitler's Turkestani Soldiers: A History of the 162nd (Turkistan) Infantry Division

Author Biography:

Paolo A. Dossena was born in 1968 and has always lived and worked between southern Switzerland and northern Italy. He first worked as a manual labourer and a seasonal lumberjack in the mountains. However, after taking a degree in history (in 1997), he started his career as a journalist (international politics) and translator (English, Italian, Romantsch, fourth official language of the Swiss Federation). He is currently translating the second, updated, Italian edition of his book "The Scientist and the Shaman" ("Lo scienziato e lo sciamano", Lindau, 2011) into English, of which Hitler's Turkestani Soldiers is an offshoot. He is an Anglophile (even though onomastic research has indicated that his grandmother’s surname – Lamberti – comes from the Germanic ‘Lamper’.).
