This album is the result of a unique collaboration between the young Danish composer Kasper Rofelt and the even younger accordionist Bjarke Mogensen, to whom all works on this première recording were dedicated.
The CD offers both solo and chamber works with a variety of musical characters and idioms – from the intimate Night Songs to the colourful Light Falling; from the mythic Charybdis for accordion duo and the virtuoso Concert Studies to the expressive title work The song I'll never sing, which Mogensen presents here together with the acclaimed violinist Christina Åstrand.
