It's a cheap mount for your mic that clamps to your desk. It does the job… Mostly. It can't hold larger mics, only light-weight, slender, cylindrical ones. I started having problems after a few weeks where it couldn't hold the weight of the mic and would droop down. Then found out that the metal had actually been bending under the weight at the point where the stand inserts into the desk clamping part. It seems that all the weight is concentrated to this one area. If you're cheap like me, you DIY some reinforcement so it won't bend. Or you can just buy a better quality mic stand.
The product itself does not come with instructions so you either have to know what to do or google it. Not really clear on how to attach the pop filter but it works when I did.
Avoid sound explosions and ping recordings to get the best sound.

NOTE: The shock mount suits microphones around 50mm in diameter. Other size Mics can be used without the shock mount – the microphone can simply screw onto the boom arm using the 5/8 thread.
