This work about the military history of Angola is formed by four parts and eight chapters. The first part covers the sixteenth, seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries. The second part covers the twentieth century and, more concretely, the time from 1900 to 1960. The third part covers the period from 1961 to 1974, and the fourth part covers the period from 1975 to 1991.

Author Biography:

Miguel Jnior is a general officer of the Angolan Armed Forces and military historian. He is author of several works and has published articles on defence, security, and history. Manuel Maria Difuila has a masters degree in history and a PhD in history of Africa. He is a full professor of the Higher Institute of Education Sciences (ISCED) in Luanda and of the Antnio Agostinho Neto University (UAN).
