NIKKI SIMPSON (a/k/a Nancy Simpson Levene) "When my daughter turned seven years old, I began to write my first book," reports Nikki. "She was an avid reader and went through books faster than I could supply them. So I decided to write a children's book series to keep both of us busy." And so began the Alex Series in 1986, comprising twelve chapter books. Now the NEW "Alex Adventures" series is rewritten and updated with the first book, Mushi Sushi Soccer Shoe, published in 2014. Nikki is a graduate of Truett Seminary at Baylor University where she graduated magna cum laude. She is also a dance teacher in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. "Next to writing, I love dancing and teaching," she comments. "Teaching is a gift and I've found I can teach most anything." That must be true for along with humor and a compelling plot, each of the Alex books imparts a valuable life-lesson to young readers, such as honesty, forgiveness, unselfishness, loyalty, friendship, trustworthiness, compassion, and more.
