Description

My Brilliant Career is an unauthorised, unbalanced, and unlikely political biography of Malcolm Turnbull - presently Prime Minister of Australia - as seen through the eyes of Australia's finest political cartoonists. Who better to trace the extraordinary rollercoaster career of a man who has fascinated, charmed, dismayed, and disillusioned us in equal measure than our sharpest and most perceptive observers of the political scene? With an introduction by Russ Radcliffe, My Brilliant Career is filled with observations on political life from the man himself, as well as quotes - fawning and scurrilous - from his fans and enemies, and choice examples of the satirical genius of Dean Alston, Pat Campbell, Andrew Dyson, First Dog on the Moon, Matt Golding, Fiona Katauskas, Mark Knight, Jon Kudelka, Sean Leahy, Bill Leak, Eric L bbecke, Reg Lynch, Alan Moir, Peter Nicholson, Bruce Petty, David Pope, Geoff Pryor, David Rowe, John Spooner, Ron Tandberg, Andrew Weldon, and Cathy Wilcox.

Author Biography:

Russ Radcliffe created the annual Best Australian Political Cartoons series in 2003. In 2007, he produced Man of Steel: a cartoon history of the Howard Years, and in 2013, Dirt Files: a decade of Best Australian Political Cartoons. He has edited collections from some of Australia's finest political cartoonists, including Alan Moir, Bruce Petty, Bill Leak, Matt Golding, and Judy Horacek.
