Rage Anarchy Edition previews

I seriously believe that id Software will make one of the best fps once again!!!!!

Got the game on launch day. Graphics are good REALY good enviroment detail. but was suffering from random tearing and flashing. thankfully a couple of days later this was fixed.

Please be aware if you are buying this on pc thinking IT IS RAGE Leading platform.. you may be wrong.. the game has very little graphical and setting options. the game automaticaly updates to your hardware and software. which can also be a bad thing if you are trying to trouble shoot an certain area and settting up keybinds will drive you crazy at first. the starter binds were less than helpfull for me

As for the gameplay itself. an hour in during my gameplay i already had 6 weapons with the collectors edition. the gameplay is fast . u do regenerate health using nanites(think call of duty regen)enemies will respond to being shot by moving and finding new cover and if you shoot them they will lose balance when charging at you. you can injure enemies, to slow them but there is no grapical holes. also headshotting does not always 1 shot enemies and no there heads will still be intact. The gameplay is fun but the enemy ai which is the main advancement here can be steamrolled and you will bearly notice ids ai improvements.

What i like about the game: Fast gameplay plenty of weapons and gadgets,great detail on enviroment, and nice driving vehicles. nice game length, rewarding gameplay.

What i dislike: Limited graphical settings, costs to repair vehicles(which can cost alot to repair when trying to complete all jump rewards) , enemies veriety is low if your not fighting bandits your fighting mutants and if your not fighting mutants your fighting the authority.

and the plot does not seem to progress fast enough. .............­.............­.............­.............­.............­.............­.............­.. The game is 3 disks and over 25 gig of hdd space.

you might want to play on a difficulty higher than Normal normal while fun is a little too easy..

A perfect example of the power of the id Tech 5 engine, it's MegaTexture technology, and why John Carmack is a legend.

I'm hoping it'll play like a cross between Fallout 3 and Borderlands.

This game sets the bar higher than before, it's taking another step forward into the mixing of gameplay genres. Mixing and adding never before done stuff is what hooks us gamers in, and is what sets the other developers on edge for competition. Looking forward to the hardest mode!

I am amazed how much different this game is (using the Tech 4 engine) to Doom 3 (using tech 3) The shotgun used was customised by what ammo you wanted to use so you could fry mutants in the sewers with electric rounds. Appears open word like Wolfenstein with missions based in locations on the map.
