Rage Anarchy Edition reviews

Got it first thing thursday morning nica and early and pretty much much played for the next few weeks I have had little to no problems running this game and the only slight error was the pop-in textures which you could easily fix by tweaking the config, i quess if you liked fallout you may like this tho this has alot more hack n slash and with the car racing , card games, and other betting bots it makes it an interesting world.

Loving the game . I've had no problems with this game . If you like doom , GET IT !

Carmack is a genius. This game is developed by id Software. End of story.

I had high hopes for RAGE, eagerly awaiting its arrival at my doorstep. And then the trouble began. After taking considerable time to install I leap into the game, chomping at the bit to start in. The menu, it gleamed. So pretty.

Aaaand then the game starts. Or doesn't. Constant graphical issues, audio stuttering and freezes every three seconds has meant that what was once looking to be a very good game taking a long walk off a short cliff. My computer may not be the pinnacle of the gaming elite, but it runs current games on maximum settings, or just a touch beneath, but RAGE is simply unplayable.

Despite an active effort on the part of the community to resolve these issues, RAGE is fundamentally unplayable in its basic form. For those who are considering purchasing the game, I would strongly recommend (at least for the foreseeable future when new graphics drivers are released and the game patched to a working state) that prospective buyers avoid Rage like the plague.

This is a good game for $40. The visuals are fantastic and some of the shooting levels are really challenging and quite gory. The PC version did have some issues but the latest patches have this running smoothly now on my system. On the down side, the story is a shambles, the character that you play is less than one dimensional and the driving and RPG elements are unnecessary and badly executed. As a straight shooter, it's not too bad.

Whilke it has not had a great release with driver issues and so on, Rage is a great change from the usual consolised PC port we see making a hash of good games. If you have the gear to max the settings it looks superb. Lots of variety in game play with Modifying and Driving vehichles in an open world setting or on various tracks for prizes, Mini games ranging from card games, twitch skill tests to combat gauntlets for coin and FPS ala ID software in various missions for rewards. The game economy is done light allowing for Ammo and expendable supply to charcter upgrades such as armour etc. Lots of fun.

Not quite sure how this even made it to market with all the bugs. Game would not even launch initially. Then I updated my graphics drivers with a special release just for Rage. Game starts OK now, but there are massive tears in the graphics and it crashes every time I try to go into the sewers. I give up until they do a patch. I don't think they have done themselves any favors rushing this to market.

Like your standard id game, except with a decent storyline. Some graphics muddyness (especialy in the “dead city”) lets it down, but otherwise stunning looking game, especially from the car. Firefights are great, and the weapons are awesome, though the assault rifles are really weak (for console balance-) but the pistol, wingsticks, and crossbow are all quite op for anyone who can headshot.

I encountered 0 bugs and after the patch things were even better. The game itself is outstanding. Great graphics, great gameplay, fantastic atmosphere. It lack s an interesting story and stops rather abruptly. You also can't go back and finish all the side missions.

The one thing making me really angry is the steam activation, so basically I can't resell the game now that I completed it after 12h. That's about the last PC game I bought, I am done with the blocking of reselling. I am not rich.

This game blew me away, I was expecting a cheap doom/quake knock off but it was really out in a league of its own. It's hardcore armed to the teeth with all the guns, ammo, explosives, and other gadgets that you can carry and it's also got a slight hint of RPG with being able to explore the world.

As said before, there are a few graphic problems with ATI cards but the game itself is not that demanding for a PC to run.

Had alot of bugs but thay are fixing this..

Buggy and awkward to play on the pc, saved by some pretty scenery and reasonably solid game mechanics

Story was really short, and kindof unoriginal, but gameplay was reasonably fun. The game has a real borderlandsy feel to it along with a little of deus ex and fallout 3/new vegas; but improves slightly on all those game's gameplay in my opinion.

Just so much versatility.

Once finished, you just want to do at over again, a different way, just for the fun of it.

Though after finishing it, you wish there was more.

Awesome array of weapons and ammo.

Haven't played it yet, despite having a physical retail copy w 3 DVD's steam made me download 17gigs of data. Beware.

On another note, mighty ape got this out to me promptly so not all bad.

The game isnt the best but its not completely horrible either. I thought the car racing was quite fun to do and the graphics are pretty good. But got quite bored of the game after a couple hours. Also suggest doing side quests before the main quest as certain side quests can exspire.

Great game, Superb Graphics, and good story line. Great game if your after something that's got killing with a twist.

Had trouble starting it, Updated drivers then all ok.

If you've played red faction armageddon, then you know the routine. This is a fairly shallow FPS, with a veneer of open world thrown in. Pretty Graphics, and reasonable gameplay make this an interesting romp.

A lot of games don't live up to the hype,this is one of them so full of bugs for pc.hope better graphic patchs come out soon

ID software the founding father of first person shooters has emerged from obscurity and produced a good first person shooter with some RPG elements, it is no way similar to fall out or borderland because there is no character tree. There is some screen tearing for the digital copy of RAGE but you guys are buying the hard copy so that does not really matter.
