Description

Song of the Dragon Series explores themes of bullying, intolerance and bigotry; the roots of war and oppression. Book 1 of the series, S.S. Huber - The Dragon's Eye Crystal is set in Chilliwack, British Columbia and central Canada. Sybil Huber's Grade 8 class embarks on a field trip to the picturesque valley between majestic Mount Cheam and Lady Peak, located in the Upper Fraser Valley, east of Vancouver. A heart-wrenching family tragedy takes a terrifying turn, leading to existing parallel dimensions and an exotic journey of epic proportions. It is a passionate quest for peace, a fascinating tale of youth coming to terms with an inherited gift of foresight, discovery of their roots and what it means to be family. It is a poignant coming-of-age story, interwoven with fanciful characters. The young and young-at-heart will surrender themselves to this richly imagined tale, leaving them spellbound and wanting more.Visit my website at: www.songofthedragon.com Author Page at: https: //www.amazon.com/author/bernadinemorr

Author Biography:

Bernadine Morris was born in Humboldt, SK., and grew up in central Canada, migrating to British Columbia as a young woman. She lives with her husband in the city of Chilliwack, British Columbia in the scenic Upper Fraser Valley, which is the setting for S.S. Huber - The Dragon's Eye Crystal. She is retired from two satisfying careers in health and education. She discovered her interest in language and writing at an early age. As a child, she loved to read, to slip the bonds of reality and ride the winds of fantasy through distant lands with imagined characters. She has written two award-winning Haiku poems and writes short prose, poetry and song lyrics for pleasure. Working in the field of education, she recalls the joy of instilling the love of reading in students. She has raised three children and realizes busy lives can distract from the pleasure of a good book. Please take the time to read-to nurture your soul, your mind and your heart. Read to your children, stretch their fertile imaginations and best of all build those all-important bonds when you share a great story.
