Capriccio releases another instalment of their 21st century portraits series, this time showcasing the work of the Taiwanese-Austrian composer Shih. Shih actively mediates between European and Far Eastern musical cultures and his own mean of expression is sound. His highly individual works are interpreted on this recording by the Ensemble ‘Die Reihe’ and the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan.
