Description

PrefaceAs an adult I discovered that my behaviors were linked to my broken past, starting as a child. At every turn of my early childhood, I had stress, strife, abuse and a bounty of unfulfilled dreams that have resulted in many relational issues as an adult. This book was written based on memories of that past and how God helped me move forward into a life of balance and abundance. The stories I share are not necessarily in chronological order but rather according to how the Lord guided me step-by-step to a point of healing. This book is not meant to be an autobiography, nor is it meant to express regret or invoke sympathy. My sincere desire is that the reader can see the truth in her own life and find healing. At the end of each chapter I have added questions to help you reflect and identify similar areas in your past that may be preventing you from living the fulfilled life God created you to experience. I have included space to write out those thoughts, an important first step to healing. I conclude with a specific prayer to cover your journey.Few people truly experience the healing that God desires to give. I pray that the pressures you have in life will drive you to fall passionately in love with the one who wants to completely make you whole and give you a life that is overflowing with hope.Since my initial printing, many men have read my book and found it very useful in gaining insight in to their own spouse or friend who may have had experiences similar to mine. So, I encourage men and women to read the material as the godly instructions it contains applies to all genders.Marti Martin
