The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Box Set reviews

There's nothing to say but that I am officially stunned! I remember watching this on VHS when the trilogy concluded almost a decade ago, and I must say I am impressed with the quality and performance of the Blu-ray version, not to mention all the extended content and extra specials :) Definitely worth buying, BIG 5 stars!!!

He has Lord of the Rings in every other possible format already, and wanted this to complete his ultimate viewing experience. He is watching while I type … And is a very happy man!

It is easy to see that a lot of time and care has been put into carefully crafting this release. The LOTR trilogy has never looked better, the box set itself is beautiful, and with countless hours of extras– you'll never be bored for second. Worth every cent.

Great films

I don't think you can get much more Lord of the Rings than this – if you like makings of and documentaries, even better.

For those times when you just need to whittle away a week or so of time. Like a disc-based time travel machine.

Tolkiens Lord of the the Rings is a classic tale. This NZ movie captures the essence of the books so well. I think even Tolkien would have been impressed..

This is a fabulous edition for anyone who loves Lord of the Rings, amazing quality, and so compact that it weighs more than you expect. A great buy!

Great movie marathon item. A must have for all collectors of movies. Also a great use of HD picture quality.

There's is little left to be said about LOTR. Suffice to say, if you haven't seen it, you should. Even if, in the grand scheme of things, you think it's just silly fantasy (which it's not) the love, care and attention to detail is self evident. Get the extended versions as not only do they tell a more complete story, they special features are practically a film school in a box. Getting the Blu-Ray version is also a must for fans. Not only is it now presented in full 1080p, but there's new unseen behind the scenes material by filmmaker Costa Boates. Sure .. it's really for the fanboys out there, but having such a pristine copy in my possession of all 3 films makes me very, very happy.
