A brilliant cd with enough blues, soul & all round genre of music to play it loud!

"... I was startled to hear an angelic voice singing black music even more soulfully than her partner. The theme was Jazz and R&B standards - 'Drown In My Own Tears', Red Top' - but categories faded as Cassidy coloured the songs with a jazz feel, a gospel fervour, a folk-like purity or a raunchy blues sense, finding the common thread in all of them.
