Seven is a twenty-eight-year-old ex-con living in Charlotte, North Carolina. An irresistible ladies' man, he even managed to charm a female corrections officer while in prison-which led to her not only losing her job but also becoming pregnant with his child. Seven is trying to put his past behind him and make a new life for himself, earning an honest living. He looks for steady, meaningful employment, but unfortunately quickly realizes that toiling away at a day job won't afford him the lifestyle to which he is accustomed. The drug game is all too tempting, and when he meets another ex-con named Ditty, the two are drawn to each other and consider going into a business where the payoff is big but the stakes are high...and possibly deadly.
