Description

This companion volume to The Western Heritage Since 1300 11th edition] is filled with vocab, activities and assignments that follow the Kagan text page by page. Teachers can copy weekly packet assignments from it, or it can be used by students as a consumable. It can be used on short notice if there is a sub, or be assigned as homework. All the student needs is the textbook, physical or electronic. The rationale for having this workbook as a consumable is publishers now put much of their ancillary content online, leaving traditional pen & paper work lacking. Yet, many students still find it valuable to write and keep notes for themselves, and portfolios still matter. The activities in this new edition challenge students to apply the concepts, give examples, diagram chapters, and think things through with the author. For other titles in this series, find TTT on FB, or click the name at the top of this page, especially for AP courses and Social Studies. Look for Coursepak B for the Kagan text, containing warm-ups, bell-ringers and multimedia activities.

David Tamm is a master of arts from the Jagiellonian University of Krakow, Poland, the school of Nicholas Copernicus and John Paul II. He has lectured at academic organizations such as the International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations, which was founded by Carroll Quigley. His material has been published in newspapers and periodicals in Poland and America, such as Arcana. His MA thesis, "Universal History and the Telos of Human Progress," is about the changing meaning big-picture historians have found in the human story as a whole, and is worthwhile for Social Studies teachers.
