Description

After my vacation met the apocalypse and stranded me far from home, I learned not all outposts were kind to women traveling alone. In fact, since women were abducted daily in this dangerous post-apocalyptic world, I found a way to blend in like a wallflower, only more hideous by looking like a hag. People couldn't look away from me fast enough once I mastered the art of appearing hideous. It was the next best thing to invisibility! But the second horseman War arrived to fulfill his purpose of stealing peace and making people kill each other. Immediately, the Viking barbarian angel managed to soul-chain a two-year-old boy. Then War proclaimed that, since no men would lust after a hideous hag, I was the perfect choice to be the orphaned toddler's babysitter at his war camps. No one told me the horsemen were shifters, that when War shifted into his berserker form, his magical mayhem spell was contagious. He created a mayhem plague that steals peace and makes people kill each other! Yet War can shift into another form, can look like a smoking hot bad boy when he uses the power of peace to calm the toddler. I had a weakness for bad boys, yet War warned me that there would be hell to pay if I were not hideous. Ugh! We were complete opposites in every way, including our names, War and Serenity, but someone had to stop him.
