Author Biography:

Zach Packard is NAHB Staff Counsel for the Office of Legal Affairs, foucisng on land use and advocacy. Zach works actively on member issues and potential litigation. A big part of his works is with NAHB's Legal Action Committee, which manages the NAHB Legal Action Fund. The Fund provides money to members who are either in active litigation or who will be filing litigation shortly and are facing issues of state or national significance. David S. Jaffe is NAHB Staff Vice President, Construction Liability and Legal Research for the Office of Legal Affairs. He is the co-author of the fifth edition of Contracts & Liability and author of several other NAHB publications. He regularly advises the builder and remodeler members of NAHB on contract and liability issues and other aspects of construction law and risk management. He is a regular speaker at NAHB educational programs on contract and liability topics and trends related to the building industry. Felicia Waston is NAHB Assistant Vice President, Construction Liability and Legal Research for the Office of Legal Affairs. She is the co-author of several other NAHB publications. Felica works with builder and remodeler members of NAHB on contract, liability, and construction law. She also supports the Labor, Safety & Health group regarding OSHA and labor issues. Felicia is a frequent speaker at NAHB educational programs and various legal issues.
