Description

In this her second volume of poetry, the author again muses on moments in life, giving special attention to nature. Her first anthology "Moments in Time" ran the gamut from humorous to serious to dark. This collection includes humorous and serious, but with less of a dark edge on serious ones. The lighter approach is in line with the title "When the Blue Bird Sings - Poetry".

Author Biography:

Mary-Elizabeth has had a myriad of careers and interests. Her careers include Internal Audit Director at a local University and co-operating a garden and landscape business (Gardeners by Nature) with her husband Will. She currently works as a caregiver for the elderly as well as for young children with special needs. In addition to her passion for poetry, she has been an avid gardener for many years as well as a strong supporter of animal rights. Her second book "Forever in Our Hearts: The Unconditional Love of Pets" is a collection of stories and pictures from pet owners and highlights rescue pets. 50% of the profit from this book goes to animal rescue efforts. Mary-Elizabeth lives in Southeastern Virginia with her husband Will, dogs Desmond and Wags, and cat Sassafras (the last three are rescues). Mary-Elizabeth and Will have three sons David and Matthew and their eldest William Jr. who is gone but not forgotten, living in all their hearts.
