Here to help you celebrate the spirit of Christmas in Loungefly form this year are Buddy and his friends from the 2003 film Elf!

As a baby, Buddy crawls into Santa’s sack and is accidentally taken to the North Pole. There, he is adopted and raised as an elf. Over time, his human size impacts every aspect of his life and after overhearing he is actually not an elf, he sets out to New York City to find his biological father. On his travels, he’s mistaken for an employee at a department store, where he becomes smitten with unethusiastic employee Jovie. As he builds a relationship with his father, a publisher of children’s books, Buddy touches a lot of lives along the way which comes in handy when Santa’s sleigh crashes in Central Park. With Buddy leading the song “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”, together, they raise enough Christmas spirit to power the sleigh. Buddy later becomes a children’s book author and marries Jovie.

In celebration of the special relationships Buddy made on his journey of self-discovery, Loungefly have reimagined him and his friends in cartoon form for this backpack. On the front are Buddy and his critter friends from the North Pole, while an informative diagram about the elf food pyramid is on the back. Inside, Buddy and Jovie are together amongst an array of candy as an all-over lining print.
