Pamella A. Russell, née Ryan, was born in Buffalo, NY, but relocated to Brazil in her teens, where she resided until young adulthood. She fell in love with Brazilian culture, language, music, and rich folklore. She loves children’s multicultural literature-books that are entertaining but teach something about people and the world around us, especially stories people who exhibit courage, always reaching beyond the limits of their abilities and endurance to achieve their ultimate goals.Ms. Russell is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Spanish major followed by a Master of Library Service (MLS) degree. She is a retired library director and lives with her husband in Cape May, NJ. She hopes that children will discover a new element of interest in her books, but mostly that they will read, read, and read!! “Olga Rose Uhl Caccese, artistically known as “ORUCCE,” began her art interest while studying oil painting with Mrs. Aimee Ortlip at Houghton College, Houghton, NY, following World War II. For an additional ten years, she studied sketching and oil painting in Buffalo, NY.While residing in São Paulo, Brazil, from 1958 to 1964, ORUCCE was introduced to the art of porcelain painting “Brazilian style.” After returning to the US, she began studying Page 26in 1966 with Daniel Wolf of Philadelphia, PA. She attended many seminars throughout the years, which allowed her to study and paint with numerous brilliant artists in this country.This little book exhibits only a fraction of her vast repertoire. Her paintings earned her a First Place Ribbon, a Second Place Ribbon, and a Third Place Ribbon throughout her career. “
