What is a Capybara?

Capybaras look like giant guinea pigs, which isn’t surprising given they’re closely related.

Adult capybaras typically weigh between 35 to 66 kg (77 to 145 lbs) and measure about 1 to 1.35 meters (3.3 to 4.4 feet) in length.

Their bodies are barrel-shaped and covered in coarse, brownish fur that helps them blend into their grassy, swampy environments.
