Don’t Get into the Pot! by Debi K Stinson and Katy Chambers is a rhyming story with a pelican, a crawfish, and an oyster who cannot seem to stay away from trouble.
Pete the Pelican wakes up on the pier and sees the whole thing unfold. Mudbug and Ollie spot a shiny pot that looks way too interesting. Garlic, onions, bubbles, steam, even a spoon so bright it feels like treasure. They think hot tub, party, even an invite from the chef. Pete thinks disaster.

The two scamper off to splash in a puddle instead. Pete fluffs his feathers, proud they chose safety over a boil.
