Author Biography
Robert McPhillips studied Illustration at the University of the West of England, Bristol graduating with a first-class honours. He began his career whilst still a student after being shortlisted twice for the Macmillan Prize For Children’s Picture Book Illustration.
Robert has worked with many top publishers over the years since on a wide variety of Illustration projects; from greeting cards to animation, but he especially loves illustrating children’s books. Robert illustrated The Great Alien Cake Off by Rachel McCoubrie which won a bronze medal for best children’s picture book at the IPPY awards in New York in 2020.
After years of illustrating for other people, Robert has finally put pen to paper and written two story books: The Only Bear For Me and Everything Is Better Because Of You, both published by FROM YOU TO ME.
He lives in Devon, England, with his wife Samantha and their overlords, the cats.
