The Gospel of John Part 1 is the first of the three Gospel of John lesson collections. It contains fourteen lessons that cover the first eight chapters of the gospel. Topics addressed in those lessons include Jesus as the preexistent Word of God, the encounter with Nicodemus, the encounter with the woman at the well, Jesus’ brothers, the promise of the Holy Spirit, and a debate about fathers. Miracles of Jesus addressed include turning water to wine, healing the nobleman’s son, feeding five thousand with two fish and five loaves, healing a crippled man at the pool of Bethesda, and walking on water. Additionally, Jesus taught lessons on casting the first stone, and that he was the Bread of Life.
