Here Is Where We're Planted

Unlike sheltered trees living below, Elder and Little Tree live near the top of a mountain where the weather is often stormy. Little Tree finds comfort, laughter, and strength as Elder shows by example how to rely on the love they have for one another and to trust where they found they were “planted.”

Written in rhyme for easy reading and offering lovely illustrations – this first in a series may soon become everyone’s favorite bedtime story.

Author Biography

Miriam Evonne Shanks has been passionate about writing since her childhood, six years of them spent in rural Saskatchewan, Canada. Hiking their sixteen acres and spending ample time alone, she learned to entertain herself by writing imaginative poetry and tales. Her themes are simple and meaningful, and she enjoys writing for both children and adults. Miriam lives in the mountains of New Mexico with her husband and dogs. Miriam’s current projects include finalizing two more Here Is Where We’re Planted books, co-writing and co-producing songs and writing essays. Miriam likes to hear from and correspond with her readers.
