Years later in New York, the ghost of his twin steps forward: not a haunting, but a brother who jokes, remembers the forest, and wants to help. Together they navigate eerie signs-cold spots, shifting objects, coded gestures-and discover a porcelain cup that, each afternoon between 3 and 4, fills with moving images. The visions point them toward their great-great grandmother’s grave and a cursed relic: a carved monkey clutching a pink diamond.

The relic binds the family to a cruel choice. Each generation, a child who possesses it dies. But if the relic is ever lost, the souls already taken, including Josh’s twin, can never be released.

Guided by the cup, Josh follows a trail of cryptic clues through libraries, cemeteries, and the forest of his childhood. His twin pushes him to trust signs others dismiss, while admitting he wants more than answers, he wants time to live as Josh’s brother.

At 3:33 in the cemetery, Josh uncovers a box holding the relic. But before he can lift it, the cup shows one final vision: their old shack glowing like a doorway, sunlight flooding its interior. As the clock strikes 4:00, the cup stills, the relic shifts in its box, and Josh realizes the next step is simple and terrifying, take the relic and step through before the light fades.
