Author Biography
Nicole grew up in Maple Grove, Minnesota, believing her imagination was her superpower. This is her very first children’sbook, inspired by her two adventurous daughters who remind her daily that being caring, confident, and kind is the best magic there is. She loves writing stories that help kids embrace their quirks and feel proud of what makes them unique -whether that’s twirling around in a tutu, mixing up potions in the kitchen (with lots of glitter), or drawing strange new worlds. When she’s not writing, Nicole is likely reading fantastical books, practicing yoga, or cuddling up with her girls for a movie marathon night. Nikki grew up in Apple Valley, Minnesota, where drawing became her way of showing the world how wonderful it is to be yourself while embracing the magic of creativity. This is her debut children’s book, and she’s thrilled to bring her playful illustrations to life for kids everywhere. She finds her biggest inspiration in the quirkiness of the world around her and in her little boy, both of whom constantly remind her that being creative, curious, and a little silly is key to happiness. When she’s not drawing, you’ll find her gripping an iced coffee for dear life while chasing after her son, or with her nose in a sketchbook.
