Author Biography
J. Ryan Hersey is the author of the hilarious and heartwarming Max E. James children’s chapter series, a collection that captivates young readers while entertaining parents. Growing up in Maryland, Ryan was a rambunctious boy who thrived on outdoor adventures-exploring the woods, swimming in rivers, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. Now living in Hampton Roads, Virginia, not much has changed-except his playground has grown from rivers to the ocean, and he now shares his adventures with his two sons, who also crave time outdoors. The Max E. James series draws inspiration from Ryan’s own childhood experiences and his daily life with his family. It’s always an adventure to see what kind of mischief three energetic boys can get into. Gustavo Mazali lives with his family in beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina. Having drawn all his life, Gustavo has developed the unique ability to capture the essence of children in his art. Amy Betz founded Tiny Tales Editing after working as a children’s book editor at several major publishing houses. She lives with her family in Bethel, Connecticut.
