Nala Roonie Goes to Richmond Park is the debut picture book in the Nala Roonie Adventures series by T. D. Winters. Inspired by the family’s real-life Chow Chow, the story follows Nala on her very first outing to Richmond Park with her family; Mummy, Finn, and Esha.
From the jitters of a bus ride to the excitement of spotting deer and the joy of a family picnic, Nala learns that it’s perfectly normal to feel nervous about new experiences. Through gentle rhymes and playful, watercolour-style illustrations by Vallace Studio, children discover lessons of courage, kindness, and connection.
Designed for ages 3-7, this charming picture book celebrates both London’s treasured green spaces and the reassuring bond of family. With universal themes and a loveable dog at its heart, Nala Roonie Goes to Richmond Park is a comforting story that children will want to return to again and again.
