Author Biography
Jean Hall Melton is a retired elementary teacher who has spent over 25 years educating children. In 1999, Jean helped initiate a program for the former Arkansas Governor and Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee called “Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs.” This successful program was used to teach students about fishing as a fun and rewarding lifetime alternative to using drugs. Jean enjoys reading, writing and traveling to historical places that she taught her students about. She is married and has two adult children and a very smart granddaughter.
