Affectionately known as Nickie by friends and family, Nicole Brook grew up on a farm near Warburg, Alberta. From a young age, this small-town girl had big dreams of becoming an author. She penned her first novel in third grade, which sparked a greater joy for writing.Nicole’s most cherished childhood memories were made at her great-grandmother’s farmhouse, where she and her brother Curtis, along with cousins Jamie and Ashley, spent countless hours adventuring outdoors. Each visit brought new stories, laughter, and inspiration-memories that would later breathe life into her beloved Abigail series, featuring a blonde-haired, blue-eyed heroine with a vivid imagination-much like herself.Now living in Leduc, Alberta, Nicole shares her life with her husband, Brandon, and their two children, Piper and Axel. Since the release of her series, she has had the joy of meeting countless young readers through school visits and bookstore events, inspiring imaginations across over 100 schools.Nicole continues to find daily inspiration through the eyes of her children as they embark on their own backyard adventures.
