Roots Rewritten: Rewriting the Legacy for the Next Generation
Break the cycles. Rewrite the story. Reclaim connection. For decades, families and classrooms have inherited patterns of discipline and belief systems without ever questioning if they truly serve the children in their care. Roots Rewritten is a powerful call to pause, reflect, and create something different.
Drawing on over 30 years as a teacher, leader, and advocate in early childhood education, Debbie Hogue weaves research, lived experience, and heartfelt storytelling to help you:
- Recognize the patterns and legacies you’ve inherited
- Release fear-based parenting and teaching practices
- Build deeper connections with children through empathy and presence
- Create intentional boundaries without shame or disconnection
- Lead with courage, clarity, and love-at home and in the classroom
This book is not about perfection; it’s about awareness. With every page, you’ll discover tools, insights, and encouragement to heal old wounds, trust your inner knowing, and nurture children in ways that honor their voice and spirit.
