Both then and as Director of Cricket in the 2000s, he has been at the heart of so much of what is best about Somerset cricket.
Author Biography
Born in 1950, Brian Rose was brought up in Weston-super-Mare. He played cricket for Somerset from 1969 to 1987, captaining them in the years of their great success, and in eight Tests for England. After a career in the paper trade, he returned to Somerset as a highly influential Director of Cricket and is now the club’s President.
