Shadows Over Cheyenne

Desperate ex-cavalry soldier Cord McBride thinks he’s found redemption as a territorial detective in 1885 Wyoming. He finds work as a Stockyard Inspector, but when he discovers his badge is fake and he’s been systematically destroying innocent families for cattle baron Silas Blackwood’s empire, the hunter becomes the hunted. Will he be able to root out corruption and save homesteaders from the ruthless cattle baron, or will he succumb to his will and help to wipe them out? Cord doesn’t like being played and he certainly doesn’t want to bring misery and death to innocent hard-working ranchers.

Author Biography

Del Wilber is a decorated Navy veteran with a distinguished 20-year career flying the mighty P-3 Orion aircraft as a Aircrewman. He is an autodidact who went on to earn a BS in General Science from Excelsior University, an M.Ed. In Instructional Design from AIU, and a Ph.D. in Education from Capella University. He has also completed many courses from Walden University and Texas A&M. He taught himself to play guitar and learn how to sail. He is an accomplished sailor who prefers single-handed ocean passages and has owned many sailboats. He lives the quiet life at home with his wife, his dog, and a parrot who talks too much.
