This time around, Phil has a whole adventure by himself, on the most improbable of planets, during the most improbable of deliveries. The package is for his own father, Bill, to be delivered to Phil’s home planet! Phil hasn’t spoken with the man in years, after the death of Phil’s mother and a planetary civil war pushed them apart, and has consequently not stepped foot on the planet for as much time. Phil is understandably uneasy and anxious to meet his father after all this time-only to discover that the man has vanished completely months ago. No one knows where Bill is, and Phil decides to use some of his dwindling vacation days to look for him.
Who would have expected old Bill to have created a massive robot machine in his own garage? Phil definitely didn’t. So, Phil buys a horse and starts searching the arid, barely inhabited parts of his home planet. Phil’s surprise grows as he discovers that his father seems to have left a trail of legends behind him!
Will Phil ever manage to catch up to his father, or has the wilderness already claimed him? And what does the package contain? Did Bill know that something was coming for him, or is it all a big coincidence? And how excited is Phil to have an adventure by himself?
