Author Biography
Debbe Hysell was born in the mid-1950s, a time when childhood was filled with outdoor play, family dinners, and evenings gathered around books or the TV. Though reading didn’t come easily at first, inspiring authors helped spark a lifelong love of stories. Today, she never goes anywhere without a book in hand. Originally from Ohio, Debbe eventually settled in Austin, Texas. Over the years, her love of reading naturally grew into writing. Her words-whether scribbled on paper or saved as poetry and reflections-were often kept private, though some of her poems have been published through the Library of Congress. With Talbot the Tooth, Just a Little Wiggly, Debbe is thrilled to share her first children’s book. Her goal is simple: to write stories that encourage curiosity, laughter, and kindness-books that families can treasure in their bedtime routines for generations. Within the pages of a book, you can be or do anything. Welcome to Whimsy’s Edge Books.
