The Gift Of Grief

The Gift of Grief is the raw and heart-wrenching story of one woman’s loss of her beloved husband.

But this is much more than a personal story. The Gift of Grief was written with a twofold purpose.

The primary purpose is to comfort and encourage those in the grieving community

with the same comfort and helpful support received by the author, Marcia Weir,

at the time of the sudden death of her husband, Ron Weir.

Secondarily, it is to raise awareness and to help the Body of Christ (the

Church) understand how desperately those who are grieving need ongoing love

and support as they walk the journey of grief. Such support requires

a commitment of time to the hurting and broken-hearted.

Author Biography

Marcia Weir graduated from OBC (now Tyndale University) in Toronto with a degree in music performance. Over the years, she was a featured guest soloist at many churches and conferences. Her passion for ministering to women has spanned more than 35 years. The unexpected death of her husband in 2023 opened a new and unanticipated opportunity for her to come alongside those experiencing the heartbreak of grief and loss. Marcia is a facilitator with the GriefShare program. She loves spending time with her two married daughters and their husbands. The delight of her life is her adorable granddaughter, Haddie. Marcia resides in Barrie, ON.
